Google rating checker for restaurants

Search your restaurant, and we score your public Google reviews 0-100 against the three closest places in the same category.

How this Google rating checker works

We look up your restaurant, find three nearby places in the same category, and score public Google reviews. Each part of the score is shown, with the date and how many reviews we used.

What the 0-100 score means

The score is relative to those nearby places. A lower component is room to improve, not a verdict on the restaurant. We never call a place a bad restaurant.

How the formula is weighted

Rating 30% (Bayesian-smoothed average stars), review volume 15% (log count vs nearby), recency 20% (reviews in the last 90 days vs nearby), reply rate 15% (owner replies in the newest sample), sentiment 20% (share of newest reviews classified as positive).

Questions about this Google rating checker

What is a Google rating checker for restaurants?

It turns your Google rating and recent reviews into a 0-100 score next to nearby restaurants, so you can see how guests rate you locally. This tool is built for restaurants, not generic SEO checkers.

How do you pick the 3 nearby competitors?

We search places in the same category, closest by distance. If we find fewer than three, we say so and still score against the ones we found.

Is this Google rating checker free?

Yes. You can run up to 2 checks a day for free. The overall score and bars are shown first. Nearby names, tips, and the PDF come after you share your restaurant and email for the free first briefing.

Do you store reviewer names?

No. We only use public business data. Reviewer names are not shown. Your email is stored so we can send the free first briefing.

Where do the numbers come from?

Public Google review data fetched for this tool, cached for 24 hours per place. The page lists each input, the sample size, and the date we scored it.
