Who we are

VectorTilt ("we", "us", "our") is a restaurant guest-insights product operated by ZenStudy Technologies FZCO, Technohub 1, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE. What information we collect

Information you give us directly

• Your email and restaurant name when you sign up for a free guest report
• If you subscribe: your Stripe customer id and subscription status. Stripe processes your payment details; we do not see or store your full card number.
• The Google place id, name, and address for the restaurant you pick
• Your email when you ask the review-link tool to send a table card
• Any feedback, messages, or responses you send us via email or direct message
• If you use the older community-moderation signup, your name, platform, community size, and biggest moderation challenge

Information we collect automatically

• Basic website analytics including pages visited, time on page, and referral source
• When a guest opens a review QR or tracked review link, a scan count with the time, country, and device class (phone, tablet, or desktop). We do not store the guest's email, name, IP address, or full browser string for that count
• Browser type and device type for compatibility purposes
• IP address for security, fraud prevention, and Meta conversion matching
• Landing page, referrer, and ad campaign parameters when you arrive from an ad

Your browser may keep the restaurant name and Google place id you picked in sessionStorage. The stored copy is not sent anywhere; the place you pick may be recorded by the tool as described above.

How we use your information

• To send your free first guest report and a short series of follow-up emails about the weekly briefing
• To send subscribers the weekly briefing about the restaurant you picked
• To manage your subscription, billing, cancellation, and refunds
• To analyse recent public Google reviews of your restaurant, and of nearby restaurants when you use the Google rating checker. We get those reviews from a third-party review data provider, and an AI model provider analyses them to write the briefing or to score sentiment. Reviewer names are not used.
• To show you scan counts for your review QR code: totals, time of day, weekday, and per-location comparison
• To respond to your questions and support requests

We use Google Ads and Meta to measure signups and tool use. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Access to your data is limited to the core VectorTilt team only.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as you use VectorTilt or are on our mailing list. Billing records may be kept longer where the law requires it. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so within 30 days. Review QR scan counts (time, country, device class) are kept while you use the review link tool, and are deleted with your account if you ask us to delete your data. Public Google reviews used by the rating checker are cached for 24 hours per place, without reviewer names. Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained for research and product improvement purposes.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data
• Opt-out: unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in a VectorTilt email.
• Portability: request your data in a portable format

Cookies

VectorTilt uses cookies and similar identifiers to operate the website, remember preferences, measure site usage, and measure Google Ads conversions after a signup or mailing list subscribe. A Meta Lead event fires when a restaurant signup or a review-link tool email is saved. When you generate a Google review link, our server sends Meta a review link generated event with the Google place id, the visitor's IP address, the browser user agent, and the Meta _fbp and _fbc identifiers when those cookies are present. That server event is sent only where no cookie banner is shown, or after you Accept. Where no banner is shown, we send it on the basis of legitimate interest. The browser pixel for that event only runs with consent. We use Meta data to measure signups and tool use. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and when we cannot determine your location, Google Ads and Meta cookies stay off until you Accept the cookie banner (Reject leaves them off). You can change that later via Cookies in the footer. You can also disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site functionality may be affected.

We use PostHog for product analytics, and in regions that show the cookie banner it stores data in cookies or local storage only after you Accept.

A vt_lp_variant cookie, plus a copy in localStorage, remembers which version of the home page copy you saw. We use it to compare which wording works better. The cookie lasts 180 days. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, and when we cannot determine your location, it is stored only after you Accept the cookie banner. The variant is sent to our analytics tool as an event property where analytics consent applies.

Third party services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate VectorTilt:

• Cloudflare: hosting, security, and infrastructure
• Chickadee: page analytics
• PostHog: product analytics and signup event tracking
• Google Ads: conversion measurement for signups
• Google Places: restaurant lookup when you type a business name
• Stripe: subscription checkout, payments, invoices, and the customer portal
• DataForSEO: public Google reviews of your restaurant for the briefing and free review tools
• Google Gemini: AI analysis of those reviews to write the briefing, free review tools, or to score sentiment
• Meta Pixel: conversion measurement for page views, a saved restaurant signup, a saved review-link tool email, and a generated review link (Google place id, no email)
• Meta Conversions API: server-side conversion measurement for a saved restaurant signup, a saved review-link tool email, and a generated review link

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. With your consent, Meta receives page views and a Lead event when your email is saved. When your email is saved, our server also sends Meta a hashed (SHA-256) version of that email, plus technical details, to match the conversion. When a review link is generated, our server sends a review link generated event with the Google place id plus the visitor's IP address, browser user agent, and Meta _fbp and _fbc identifiers when present, to Meta only where no cookie banner is shown, or after you Accept. The browser pixel only runs with consent. That server event does not include your email.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. We will notify subscribers of any significant changes via email. The last updated date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
